Playtop Walk is a new water permeable surfacing system made from a unique blend of recycled REACH certified truck tyre rubber and natural decorative aggregate.
Suitable for a wide range of applications. From pedestrian walkways and bicycle paths to light equestrian traffic.
Because of its even, resilient and slip-resistant rubber surface, Playtop Walk meets the criteria to qualify as an accessible surface for wheelchair users.
Playtop Walk is fully porous and offers high-speed drainage and meets the requirements for SUDS (Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems).
As Playtop Walk has rapid drainage, the pooling of rainwater is preventable. This improves the life-span of the surface compared to concrete or asphalt flooring. Additionally, in colder climates, this prevents ice or frost build-up; ultimately improving pedestrian safety.
Installation is easy. Playtop Walk can be installed directly onto a compacted crushed and draining stone foundation or onto existing concrete or asphalt.
Through the right substructure construction, Playtop Walk can even handle low motorized vehicle traffic.
